Subject to flight arrival the afternoon will be spent at your leisure to explore the resort / Platja D’Aro. Evening meal at the hotel restaurant. Day 2 Breakfast at the hotel, then depart for visit to Estartit and the Islas Medes. Group of islands situated at the heart of the Costa Brava and opposite the village of l'Estartit, within the municipality of Torroella de Montgrí, at a mere 800 m from the coast. With a surface area of almost 22 ha, they constitute the most important group of islets in Cata-lonia. Boat trip around the Islas Medes, followed by a coastline study in Estartit. Return to the hotel. Evening meal at hotel restaurant. Day 3 Breakfast then we visit the Lake of Banyoles. This is the main lake of Catalonia and is located in the North East of the Iberian Peninsula – near to the town of Girona. The rest of the morning is spent at the Prehistoric Caves in Serinya, then onto Besalu - Romanic bridge and town. In the afternoon the group visit the Volcanoes in Olot. This is one of the most important volcanic areas in Europe. It borders the North-ern Pyrennes and separates the region from France.The last visit of the day is to the Susqueda Dam then back to the hotel for dinner. Day 4 Breakfast then a morning visit to the Gavarres Massif including a visit to Pedralta – Europe’s largest balancing rock. Return to the hotel in the afternoon for an interview with the Town Councillor of Tourism. Evening meal at the hotel restau-rant. Day 5 Breakfast and then free time on the beach or shopping before we depart for the airport and your flight back to the UK.
